Glow

Mental health and wellbeing is quite rightly high on the agenda when it comes to thinking about employees. The Government's Department of Health advises that one in four of us will experience mental ill health at some point in our lives. It is therefore important that employers and their staff take steps to promote positive mental health and support those experiencing mental ill health.

While exhibiting at this year’s Gloucestershire Business Show (GBS19) we were interested to learn more about a local initiative, GloW, which is Gloucestershire’s commitment for better mental health. The commitment sets out what it takes to promote good mental health and wellbeing and help prevent mental illness. Organisations can sign up to GloW and are asked to focus on all the contributing factors to mental good health and take actions that will make a difference.

There are many organisations who have signed up to the GloW commitment and have made pledges. For more information on GloW visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/glow
